Well, I'm sorry to report that getting a little pig is not going to happen for two reasons.
1. Our neighborhood association refuses to allow farm animals to become residents. And they define any sort of pig as a "farm animal". Even if it's litter box trained (I asked).
2. I read a post from a former pot-bellied pig owner. It seems when his little piggie became a 100 pound porker, it began to try and nibble off the family members' toes. A tragedy like that would surely put an end to wearing flip flops, and I own way too many flip flops to risk the inability to use them as a result of missing toes.
Though I'm sad about abandoning my new dream of a miniature pig, I did get some news yesterday that cheered me considerably. My true story, "Free Labor, Anyone?" will appear in Not Your Mother's Book on Home Improvement, scheduled for a September release. Gotta love the newly designed cover...
While it's not exactly a cutie-patootie miniature pig, a new book title is still pretty darn exciting. And there's one more bonus. Now I don't need to remove the B from my BLT.
