Food, Glorious Food

As we quickly approach Thanksgiving, I know two critters that eagerly await the big day.

It's Indy's favorite holiday. Never does he keep his nose closer to the floor. A tidbit here, a handout there. Pure doggie bliss. I suppose I can deal with that. But Bogey is another story. This will be his first Thanksgiving with us and already I have visions of him making the perfect swan dive right on the table. Then there's the top of the refrigerator from which he often contemplates what his next move will be. Let me tell you, the possible disasters for an animal with his jumping abilities are endless. Oops, and I almost forgot about the trash can. Both Indy and Bogey have been known to invade it for a particularly tempting morsel.

While I figure out a way to deal with my problem kids, here are a few tips to keep your pets safe from the different kind of dangers that Thanksgiving can pose.

LOL! You had me in stitches reading your blog today, Pat. I can just see Bogey atop the fridge getting ready to do an Evel Knievel onto the turkey:)

The information about sage being harmful to pets was new to me! Thanks for sharing the link! I do hope you figure out how to keep Tom Turkey safe from your furry friends until time for dinner! As I will not be cooking, Lady will not be getting any tidbits--though she gets enough treats otherwise to make up for it!
