Easy Riding
In Nashville, it's not uncommon to hear the clip-clop of hooves on pavement. Why? Because there are horse drawn white carriages available for those who enjoy a slower pace to their tour of downtown. Despite the sometimes frenetic activity that surrounds them, a beautiful draft horse pulls each carriage up and down the street with a completely unruffled demeanor. Some of the drivers even have a faithful canine assistant seated beside them. And I'm sure it's a lucky dog that gets to "go for a ride" as a job!
If you enjoy the feel of yesteryear, a carriage is the picture perfect way to enjoy the sights of the city.

That looks like such fun!
I am always up for a horse-drawn trip anywhere!
Looks like great fun!
Have you ever seen the documentary about the carriages in Central Park? I'm sure it's not like that everywhere, but it does make one pause.
Haven't seen the documentary, Heyteach, but I'm guessing it could be related to the treatment of the horses. I always take a look to see if the animals appear to look healthy and well-cared for. The worst I saw was when we were in the Bahamas. The horses were thin and in very poor condition.
