One More for the Road

A spot of humor amongst our fallen tree woes this weekend involved this dragonfly. He perched himself under the spout of a bucket of margaritas, and there he sat for at least 15-20 minutes. He showed absolutely no inclination to depart, and remained still as a statue.

Then we noticed something odd. His wings began to quiver...almost vibrate. I walked over to get a closer look, and away he flew. I'm not sure if he was drinking the sweet nectar of margaritas and had enough (maybe he shouldn't have flown), or if my presence startled him away.

Dragonflies are typically found near water and come in many, many varieties. I tried to look this guy up, but couldn't quite place his type. Perhaps a reader knows and can share the info? Anyway he certainly seemed to enjoy his visit with us.

Now I wonder, could it be that bugs have Happy Hour, too?

Don't you think you should have taken his keys away from him. . .?

When the it flew away was it wobbly or weaving?
