Rooster Revolution
Can you believe it? Miami Beach officials are in a feather ruffling uproar over one little rooster. Mr. Clucky, one of the area's better-known citizens was named animal activist of the year in 2008 and has appeared in parades and on magazine covers. He's even acted as a mascot for animal welfare organizations, particularly those dealing with the plight of farm animals.
Despite his popularity with residents and tourists, Mr. Clucky was recently served an eviction notice. It seems that someone in Miami Beach doesn't like hearing a rooster crow in the morning.
C'mon, people, please! With all the problems Miami Beach has you're going to worry about a rooster that crows? Who's next? A dolphin that chatters too loud?
Mr. Clucky is drumming up support for an appeal to the city. If you'd like to see his plan, check out the Mr. Clucky website.
Good luck, Mr. Clucky! May you become the one who beats City Hall.

I don't understand people! Such a delightful and natural sound is the sort of sound that reminds you you live in the natural world. I love to hear the seagulls who often cry outside around here. It reminds me I am a coastal dweller.
Some people have nothing better to do than to stir up trouble for others (including Mr. Clucky!) and then sit back and enjoy all the hullabaloo! Surely with all his appearances, etc., the city council knew that he was a farm animal residing within the city limits BEFORE THIS and simply used some common sense and looked the other way. Now, of course, they have to give the appearance of "doing the right thing"! Ridiculous!
