I received word that international animal rescue teams were allowed to enter Haiti yesterday. Reportedly the teams are assessing the situation and making plans to provide necessary services including food, water, immunizations, and medical care.
I also heard a reporter comment on the difficulty of flying into Haiti. The runways apparently have both people and farm animals milling about, making landing a challenge. Conditions sound quite primitive.
My thoughts are with everyone in Haiti, victims as well as rescue workers.

God speed to those wonderful people going selflessly off to Haiti to help the animals.
Thank goodness they are letting the people in to help the animals now, hope they find most of them have survived okay.
