Creative Caption Contest
Bogey enjoys leaping to the mantle...usually not a happy thing, despite his well-studied angelic look. I saw this photo of him and felt it simply begged for a caption.
So, talented readers, give me your best caption for Bogey's picture. Indy, Bogey, and I will select the winning entry using absolutely no criteria at all. Because that's the kind of judges we are.
Simply place your caption in the comment section of this post. The winner will be announced next week. The winning caption will be posted and credit given to the winning writer accompanied by celebratory kudos, compliments, and congratulations for excellence in caption creativity.
Not only that, but the winner will receive a copy of "West of West" a poetry collection autographed by Missouri's first Poet Laureate, Walter Bargen. (If selected as winner, the judges will need a mailing address to make good on the goods.)
We're looking forward to being dazzled by the diamond-like brilliance of our readers!

It's too early in the day for brilliance, but I can hear the wheels turning in Bogey's brain. Too bad he can't caption his own picture! Will be thinking to see if I can come up with anything.
Hhmmm....I wonder if Mom will notice the mini-trampoline I put there.
Hi Pat,
Great photo.
How about this for a caption:
Hey, Indie, don't you wish you could do this.

What do you mean, off-the-shelf? I'm a designer cat.
"My next nail polish better match the decor better."
What's up with that orange, Bogey?
Twink!
"I'm warning you, whoever painted these toenails is going to suffer!"
I'm struggling. It's been one of those weeks. Lets me hit the dogs up for ideas and come back! :)
"Down there...up here...it's a tough life for a fellow who would really rather be outside scattering a few feathers..."
I am Bogey, Fearsome Mantlecat. Observe me on my perch, oh lowly ones, and respect my claws. Like, isn’t this the cutest pedi you’ve ever seen?
Hey, Indie, check out my snazzy claws; don't you want some for your paws?
"Wow, when's the last time mom dusted up here?"
Licks from Ryker
Leaping onto the dogs head in 3...2...
I am the king of the castle :-)
"Watch out carpet, here come the hairballs."
