It's Coming!

A daylily's bright burst of color from last year's garden

I don't know how long it will stay with us, but the last few days have been beautiful. The birds are chirping and sun shining with all nature looking just a bit more green than a week ago. Soon buds will tickle the tree limbs as they ready themselves to burst open, plants will push from the ground to reach for the sun's warmth, and one of my favorite seasons will arrive again.

I've been dreaming about spring.

How about you?

Thanks for checking out our blog!

Day lilies are one of my top 3 favorite flowers. I am living in the desert now and don't get to grow or enjoy them. They were one of the many wonderful things to look forward to all winter! I'll enjoy your gardens, though!

My mother-in-law always had beautiful day lilies--thanks for sharing the pic which brought back memories.

I saw you in my dreams about spring. As for the chirping birds, where can I get me some to chase?
And now to the important things: How's the ice cream eating working for you? Is your lap getting any bigger or the other side? ;)

Looks like we all have Spring fever! Too bad we just got another foot of snow this week! Arggg, mom promises me I can play in the flower bed again soon, I hope she's right!

We have had a sunny 70 degrees this week-end in North Texas - the daffodils are blooming.

I love spring, but I'm still not ready - too much writing to do! This time of the year I'm always torn - work in the yard or write. Not sure why I can't be more balanced and do both. Guess I'll work on that. Beautiful picture of the day lilies.
