Makeover Moments

No, you haven't reached the wrong blog. This is the result of pure envy. Many of you have such gorgeous sites, I've come to the conclusion that we really need a makeover. Therefore I, the uber-tech-know-not, plan to play around with a new image for Critter Alley.

To find our look we'll be trying on an assortment of new clothes over the next few weeks while we search for something that fits without being too loose or too snug. Then we'll find a color palette we like, and a layout that appeals. The process may take some time and until the final decision is made, who knows what we'll look like when you drop in for a visit.

Because I'm justifiably leery of my own skills, I've drafted my computer literate daughter who has pledged her assistance...soon.

In the meantime, I'm on my own.

So please be patient as we emerge from the fitting room and twirl around in front of the tri-fold mirror to ask that age-old question.

How do we look?

I actually love the layout! It's great for media too, since it's so wide. You may want to mess with the colors some more, but I love it and I'm about to do a makeover soon. I was waiting for GABE to finish since I didn't think I could afford any "surprises" during the event.
Can't wait to see what your blog will look like next time

I liked it fine just as it was, but it's always fun to play around with a 'new look'--so go for it! More pictures of Bogey and Indy would be nice...

Good luck on finding the perfect match for your great blog!! We can't wait to see the final page! Maxx said he likes fire hydrants and pretty much anything red colored but Schizer said he's a smelly boy and doesn't know anything!!!!

Looking good! They have so many nice blogs to go to get free stuff for your blog. It all depends on what your looking for!
Have fun!!! Maybe you should backup your blog before you start doing a lot so you don't loose your old posts. I'm always nervous about that, that is why I don't make too many changes!
I can't wait to see how it comes out!

I know that Blogger has a bunch of new templates and I've been thinking about doing something different, too, but it will have to wait awhile until I have more time.

I know that there are some new "tab" things for the tops of the blogs that let you go to specific "pages" too, but I can't seem to get them to work in the old template I'm using. I don't know if it's just my lack of computer knowledge or if it's because the old template won't allow it, but I really want to figure THAT one out! Good luck on your search!

Hey Pat! First of all, I've recently thought about changing my blog, too, and a blogger buddy suggested I even go so far as adding a new blog, calling it something like, in your case, Critter Test Blog, and play with things on it....because you sure don't want to lose everything! I don't remember if you follow Janel's Jumbles or not, but she has a gorgeous new one, which I am lusting over! BUT, I had a little trouble just trying it out, so I quit for now. Too time consuming, BUT lots of fun! Out of this one and the one before, I prefer the one before, but hey...that's just me. Plus, you know I love having a Play List! Your viewers can always mute it. Good luck and I can't wait to see what else evolves!

Hi Pat,
When you "twirl around in front of the tri-fold mirror" please don't ask if the changes make your blog look fat.
Why wasn't your husband in the "musicians" picture?
Love your blog

Yah, Marty! You finally commented! No wide angle, so I couldn't get in all the musicians, therefore I used the shot with the most of you guys in it.

If it weren't for all the garage stuff behind, you could be in a real music studio! : )

Changes are good as long as you keep the picture of Bogey, Indy and Friend. It makes me smile every time I look at your blog.

Hey looking forward to the transformations ... See blogging's fun!

I laughed when you said that your daughter has 'pledged assistance ... soon.' My son, I ask him to help with repair jobs around the house ... he says ... yes mum, soon.

Good luck
