Weekend Guests

When our kids go out of town, the grand-dogs come to Grandma's house. Since everyone seemed to have plans this weekend but me, life became crazily critter-filled. Brady, our son's dog stayed two nights. Tinker Bell, our daughter's dog, is with us for the week. That means quite a few adjustments, especially when you throw in the fact that we're ripping down wallpaper and spackling and sanding walls.

The fur kids don't always play nicely. For example, Brady is an in-your-face kind of dog. He especially loves to chase Bogey when given the opportunity. Therefore Bogey feels Brady deserves a comeuppance.

"Seriously, Dude, back off or else."

"I'm not kidding..."

"You asked for it, pal!"

From her sofa perch, Tinker Bell watches Brady get whacked: "So uncouth."

Indy adds his two cents: "Butt out, Buster. If anyone chases my cat it's going to be me!"

"Yeah, right. Do I look worried?"

Animals just crack me up - they have such personalities, don't they? Yours look so fun! And you're so nice to let them all stay - I don't think I'll have quite that attitude and my Smeagol is such a brat, can't tolerate anyone in his territory!

You go, Bogey! They are the intruders, after all!

The photos are priceless, and your captions are right on. Puppies and rehabbing? Pat, do you feel like YOU need rehab, or maybe just R&R after this encounter? You're such a good "grandma".

Cats rule and dogs drool, right Bogey?

Whoops, almost forgot I was a dog! I gotta rethink this.

Bogey has got them all where he wants them! Besides it's so fun to bop the pups on the heads. We clearly know who is the boss in that house! Oh how the tables have turned!

Yes, juggling animal critters that don't always get along can be quite a challenge... at least that's what Grammy has said a lot lately! She wishes you luck. We'd just like to come and visit so WE can chase the cat, too! The CC
