Finally Finished

Our new floor is complete. Now it's time to put things back together and attempt to conquer dust, dust, and more dust. Who'd have thought new floors would create such a mess?  But I digress.

The project took nearly 5 full days. The young men who installed the floors were polite, thorough, and did an awesome job. Take a look at the foyer.

The great room.

The precision cuts that fit wood neatly against curves of stone.

The kitchen.

The barely noticeable connection between tile and wood.

Bottom line? I'm thrilled and so are the fur kids.

Now it's time for some fun. Let the slip-sliding games begin!

what fun!!! YAY!!! Ohhhh how I KNOW what you are going through! We had Pergo put down last Spring (I had blogged about it) and we only had it put down in half of our condo and we still had TONS of dust! We had done our kitchen floor a couple of months before that.

Your floors are hardwood right? They are BEAUTIFUL!!

It was so much fun watching Cody and Dakota slide across the floor when we first put it down lol...the only thing that still annoys me is the "click, click, click" of Dakota's toenails which I can hear as I type this.

Enjoy!

Major congrats! It looks terrific! I'm planning carpet in the spring and dreading the ordeal...moving stuff, etc. Will board beast for the duration, of course, as she is not cooperative with major renovations.

Wow that floor looks great! My peeps had to put some rugs down to stop my brother Kaska sliding on our wood and tile floors as he is disabled and couldn't balance on the slippy surface but we manage OK. When we run fast we sometimes slide and fall over but jump back up again :-) love from Magic x

Looks fabulous! The dust will soon become just a memory. Be sure to put some of those non-skid mats under any rugs.

We can't wait to see it "in the flesh".

Wow those floors look so nice! I bet it was really hard supervising the installation project. Time for a nice nap.
