Tenacious Tuesday

No one's going to sneak up and steal Indy's chewie, even when he's deep in dreamland.

You just have to admire tenacity. It stiffens the backbone, propels us toward goals, and provides a dogged determination that simply forbids the notion of impossibility, no matter the odds.

A few days ago I watched two small sparrows pecking at a hawk that could crush them easily in his talons. Yet the little guys appeared to have no fear. They took turns launching strikes from above until the hapless hawk could do nothing but flee. If that isn't the image of tenacity, I don't know what is.

Most successful people could be described as tenacious. From time to time they might need to get their bearings or adjust their course, but they never give up.

Unfortunately, I wasn't born with a tenacity gene. I have to remind myself to get off my duff and work at my goals. And the harder I work, the more I value each small triumph.

What about you? Are you persistent in pursuit of your dreams?

If I want something badly enough I can make it happen. But latley I'm feeling lazy. Your fur babies make me smile.

What a great post! Unfortunantly my mom has to remind herself to get up and get to work!

I do try to make myself get up and do things that I would normally procrastinate about. Sometimes it's pretty hard.
