That Stage of Life

I've reached that stage in life where I no longer have a doctor. I have a TEAM of doctors. There's the primary care doctor who delights in sending me to visit his colleagues. After all, it's important to help all of them keep up their luxury condos in Tahiti. I have a dermatologist, gastroenterologist, cardiologist, and chiropractor. With all these people checking me over, you'd think I'm the bionic woman or something, instead of the person who wakes up every morning and asks the question of the day...

What's wrong with me now?

My latest specialist asked me to bring along every medication (including over the counter) that I take. He'd like to look at it. Before I pack up my basket of drugs, I can only hope that I remember to remove the dog's medicine. Otherwise I might be adding a new specialist to the team. A psychiatrist.

Know what ya mean about the team of doctors, my MOM has a few. Had to laugh at the dog meds.

Ha! That last line really got me, Pat! And yes...it's sad but true...the older we get, the more meds we/some of us need. You can include me in there with you. Every year I seem to be the winner of another prescription. But...hey...if we're feeling good...I'm happy to have 'em! Don't spill your basket!

LOL. You sound like my hubby. He has an entire kitchen cupboard devoted to all his pills and potions! I am just the opposite, I have mediophobia :) and go to the doctors about every 3 years and interrogate him about any prescription he gives me - he must hate me, ha!

Know what you mean. Had some problems last year, and went from one doc to the next. Think they must form secret organizations and refer to each other.

Me was laughing, Our before dog and Mommy had the same pills, cept Kokanee took only 1/2 half of one.
And Daddy, Dip-Dip and the Bridge is just like My daddy.

The post is funny, but I totally understand. Hope you don't have to add another doc to the list.

The last line was definitely hilarious.

It's no surprise that we'd eventually get into that part of our lives that medication alone isnt enough. Yearly checkups and specialist become necessary too.

Have a geat day.

Quite the racket the docs have eh? Hope you're able to keep from contributing to the shrinks' Tahitian estates (just say no to doggy drugs ;)

Waggin at ya,

You made me laugh out loud with this. I used to tease my father-in-law about his team of docs until I realized I had developed one also. I don't know whether to be irritated that I require more than one or thrilled that there are so many to choose from! LOL

Well your sense of humor is perfectly healthy. You sure don't want the team thinking you might have Parvo.

You made me laugh out loud. Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. I know what you mean about keeping those specialists rolling in dough.
