Here We Go a NaNo-ing Again

I did it in 2009. I did it in 2010. Can I do it in 2012? We'll know by November 30.

Yep, I'm doing NaNo again this year. For those who don't know, NaNoWriMo is a 30 day exercise in writing with abandon. The goal? Produce a novel of at least 50,000 words in 30 days. I opted out in 2011 and spent the month bouncing between feeling relieved to feeling guilty. So here I am, back on board, ready to torture myself along with thousands of other eager NaNo-ers. Because I must write, write, write, my blog posts will be very limited for November. I will try and give periodic updates on my progress.

If you are NaNo-ing, too, my NaNo name is K9friend1. You can find me on the NaNo website: www.nanowrimo.org. I'd be happy to "buddy up" with you and we can take this wild ride together!

Good luck to all!

I've always wanted to write a novel and also to do this. I started writing a novel but just do it in my spare time. I guess I'll have to decide in the next day or do if I wanna do nanowrimo. Ah! Good luck!!!!

Good luck with the NaNo-ing - wow, 50.000 words in a month is a heck of a lot!

I'm unofficially doing it... by rewriting and working on a previous NaNo. Good luck to you!

Good for you. I opted out last year too.
Although my book has a fictitious village, it's based on a Cornish town and I'm finding lots of great ideas for stories in their local paper. You may want to try that if you get stuck for inspiration.

Good luck! I'm not committing to NaNo this year, but I'll offer up plenty of support for those who do.

You have my deepest admiration for doing this. It is not for the faint of heart!
