Music City, Here I Come
The first time we drove into Nashville, I felt just like Dorothy must have at her first glimpse of the Emerald City. What a beautiful place!
We're planning a return visit this weekend, and I can hardly wait. With the zeal of an event planner, I'm making sure that every minute counts. Our itinerary so far includes an Eric Clapton concert Friday night, visits to Belle Meade plantation and the Hermitage on Saturday, and hanging out on Broadway Saturday night. Sunday we may have to recover a bit before the drive home, or maybe not. Some things simply have to be played by ear.
Speaking of playing, gotta love me some Nashville tunes. Although country isn't my favorite genre, there's live music everywhere and no one sounds bad...not even the karaoke singers.
Hooray...only three more days to wait!

You will have a BLAST.
I suppose Indy and Bogey aren't going to watch Eric Clapton's concert.
I love going to new cities. We don't have as many lights in our tourist sites, but the views can be breathtaking.
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
We heard it was a very neat place

Have fun, get drunk on music, eat and celebrate!
Looks like a great trip. Take some pix for us. Have a great time. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
What fun - I've never been there.

Never been there but I would love to see Eric Clapton live! Have a great time!
What a great trip you have planned! Enjoy---and come back and tell us all about it. Bet you'll have some great stories. :)
Sounds like you're going to have such fun!
Pat, Contact Not Your Mother's Book, they are unable to email you, think you changed your email. (They also had trouble with my email bouncing back????) Anyway, they want your story and need a response.
I love Nashville, and really enjoyed Belle Meade when I was there many years ago. And I know you'll have a great time at the Eric Clapton concert!
My main human, Mike, says he wishes he'd looked at this post earlier in the week. He says he hopes you check your blog comments while you're in Nashville, and that you should try to go to the Bluebird Cafe, at 4104 Hillsboro Pike. That's the best place in Nashville to see real country songwriters showcase their work. If you can't make it this weekend, maybe you'll catch it next time.
Have a safe trip!
