Welcome to the Kennel

To quote Charlie Brown, "Good Grief!" Has it really been so long since I posted?

The week has been crazy. Son's dog joined our merry pack for a few days, too. That made three dogs and one cat. It's kind of like we morphed into a boarding kennel filled with the pitter-patter of 16 paws. And you better believe that when I line up the food bowls, it's Katy-bar-the-door-feeding-frenzy time. You'd think those little furballs hadn't eaten in a month.

I did take a break from work (and the kennel) today to meet with my critique peeps. We had an energizing afternoon filled with edits, conversation, and a few decadent desserts. I feel motivated and ready to write.

The weekend is here. Hope you're gearing up for something fun. Is anyone planning to see "Oz"? With my love for the musical, "Wicked", I'm terribly tempted...

Nothing more fun than pausing for the paws. When my friend's dog had puppies, I could stand over her and observe them for hours.

Heard mixed reviews on Oz, but sounds like it would be worth seeing so you could give us a thumbs up or down.

Go treat yourself, why not? Now we have Munchkins singing in our head, LOL! Have a super Saturday.
Best wishes Molly

I can picture the Feeding Frenzy! Lady gobbles her food and steals anything left around and still looks at me pitifully if I dare to eat in front of her. And she's fat as butter!

An extra dog makes all the difference. One of mine has diabetes so I especially have to make sure only she eats the food from her bowl. I'm not sure which is more difficult three toddlers or three dogs (and a cat).

Sounds like you've earned that movie! Hope you'll let us know how it was.

Treat yourself to Oz. Sounds like you deserve the break. We grand-dog sit our daughter's chocolate lab sometimes and the addition of Lola means three dogs, plus our three cats! We're a zoo here all the time anyway, but when we add Lola it turns into a circus!
