Wait a Minute
Holy guacamole! The tornado sirens went off this evening and whup-whup-whupped us straight into the basement. Just me, two dogs, and a cat hanging out while Mother Nature howled all around us. Luckily, it appears no damage was done at our house (Note: might need to amend this statement tomorrow--the light of day could tell another story) although some surrounding communities weren't so lucky. Property destruction and minor injuries.
While we hunkered down I realized we have a serious lack of basement entertainment. Playing poker simply isn't working out. The dogs keep arguing with each other and the cat always cheats at cards.
However, our weather lately certainly hasn't been boring. Over the past three weeks we've experienced nearly every scenario except an earthquake. Nearly a foot of snow. 80+ degree temperatures. Wind, lightning, thunder, torrential rain, and a tornado or two. It's springtime in Missouri and you never know what you're going to get. Like the old saying goes, if you don't like the weather around here, well, just wait a minute.

Yeeks! I used to have a sheltie/cocker mix who liked to watch Animal Planet. Maybe you need a spare tv down there!

Weather wise we are the same. We thought Spring had come but no over the pond it is grey and raining today although the sun is trying to come out. Glad you were all OK. Cats always cheat at cards. LOL! Have a terrific Thursday.
Best wishes Molly
I think I missed something -- two dogs? Maybe you are doggie sitting. In any case, glad you guys are all safe. We had strong winds and a thunderstorm in NJ last night -- scared Mommy to pieces.
OMG OMG..... we are so glad that you are SAFE... sorry about the lack of entertainment and the cheating...
BUTT you are all SAFE.
Just got an email from the Dachsies with Moxie..and WHN.. they had a tornado in St. Louis area too. No damage there either.
SCARY SCARY SCARY...
WHEW... you are SAFE.
Pawhaps you could get a deck of those GO FISH cards. hehehee
Wow, that must have been very scary. Glad you all managed to get into the basement okay.
That is some weather you are having. We always know what we are going to get, rain, cold, fog, more rain.....

We will stick with out earthquakes. Those tornadoes are way to scary. Glad you are all ok

It was a rolicking good time in our basement, too. I was more worried about our grown children.
You said it, including the serious need for basement entertainment this time of year. Glad you and the poker players came out unharmed!
This weather is rather crazy... we were sweating last night and now we have the fireplace on. Glad you're safe.
Wow, I'm just glad you guys are okay. Yes, you might need to bring something else, like a tablet with super duper long life and have Indy and Bogey play Fruit Ninja on it.
Guess Missouri is off our list for a retirement choice! Stay healthy and safe! (I like to read during a storm)
We haven't had tornadoes here in Fort Worth this season but we, like you, have had 80 degree and 30 degree weather all in one day. We don't have a basement, so we don't really have anywhere that's safe. I don't know why they don't ever build basements in Texas. Glad you're all okay.

Glad you guys are safe, sounds scary!
