A Sunny Room for Three, Please

I've got that winter itch.

No, it has nothing to do with traveling, or wool sweaters, or a weird skin rash. There's something about this time of year that makes me want to embark on a house project. Sometimes I paint. Sometimes I rearrange. Sometimes I put up a new picture.

But right now I'm itching for a lot more than that. Attached to my house is a lovely screened porch. The unlovely thing about a screened porch is it can only be used in good weather. So I'm tapping my forehead and pondering the possibility of turning my screened porch into a sun room.

Wouldn't this be pretty?

How about this one?

I like this one, too.

Oh me, oh my. So many possibilities. At this writing, I have 2 companies scheduled to give me bids. Since I did not win the Powerball, the bid must be extremely affordable before I can pull the trigger.

Both Indy and Bogey are thrilled with the idea of multiple places to lay around and sun themselves. Me, too.

We want a new sun room. And we want it now.

Anyone else thinking about a home improvement?

Pat--What a wonderful place that would be for writing.

I hope you find an affordable solution... for your sake as well as for your four-legged friends' sake. (Those rays of sun would feel so good to puppies and kitties.)

I think that's a fabulous idea! I do hope you get some reasonable quotes. Hopefully this time of year and the economy not exactly booming, you'll get a great price! I'll be happy to come over and help you inaugurate it when the time comes!! :)

I usually get the urge to MOVE. Ha-ha. That means complete redecorating. But it doesn't happen. I like the first sun room. It sure would be nice to have an all weather space.

Oh wow, I am with you!
A sun room would be so wonderful, especially to use in the Winter.
I can see the perfect writing/relaxing/dog/cat room!

Ah, sun would be lovely! I love when the sun shines through my little craft room window. Only, it's not awfully productive as it makes me want to shut my eyes and sun myself.

Oh, hope you, Indy, and Bogey get the new sun room! I have a multi-level deck which is totally useless for me for a number of reasons. I'd love to have the top deck enclosed...maybe I'll ask for a bid. Who knows? It might be more affordable than I think! However, for now, I must content myself with rearranging my study YET AGAIN..due to the fact that a small person and a wee bear cub have encroached. Small person has her desk by mine, and this summer (when Mimi School convenes again), the wee bear cub must have same. Hmmm...where to stash everything?? They have taken over the guest room/closet...and my study...what to do? What to do?
Move over, Bogey and Indy!

We've had so many remodeling projects through the years, that I have no desire... and we have a screened in porch too, but I'm content to live it that way! Read your previous posts about dressing up your pets... um, no, my cat doesn't like anything on him. My daughter, however, is always dressing up her doggies... but she makes her own clothes for them. Hope you get your sun room!

Love the idea and also all of the pictures! I'm sure all of you would enjoy toasty mini-vacations. Hope you get the right bid.

Yes, but thinking is all I can afford to do! The roof is leaking, the shop needs to be rearranged for teaching, and I have pricey dental work in my future. It's all more than my mentals can handle! I did splurge on a tree trimming...the dates off the palm were making Macy sick!

That first one looks very inviting. Just give me an iced tea and a good book!
I have some painting I need to do but haven't gotten that itch yet!

I'm so envious! I've always wanted a sun room, but nowhere to build one onto this house. You know your fur babies are going to love it.

I would love a sun room, but not sure it would work here. Sometimes I go to the library and sit next to the windows so it feels like a sun room!

I would love to have a sun room, Pat. All three pictures are beautiful, but I think I like the first pic best. Hoping you get reasonable quotes. Let the building begin!
