Feline Flight
In pre-launch position.
Did you know cats can fly? I didn't either until Bogey came along.
He can go anywhere...the top of the refrigerator, the top of the shower stall, or the top of a closet. If it happens to be the top of anything, he'll find a way to get there.
These amazing accomplishments are indeed a wonder to behold. But his greatest feat of all is leaping 3/4 of the way to the top of curtains that cover the sliding glass door. Like Superman, he accomplishes this in a single bound. Then he hangs on tight with each kitty claw and swivels around like an owl to observe his stunned and speechless audience.
Enough is enough. I can trim Bogey's nails, but how the heck do I clip his wings?

Yes our cat can as well :-)
Cats are amazing acrobats, aren't they? Our whole upstairs hallway is an open loft overlooking the family room, so it is HIGH, and our kitten walks/runs/chases her tail, sleeps on that railing like a panther on a tree branch. She scares the bejeepers out of us! Not a lick of fear in her, and she has never lost her balance. Our two older cats used to perform similar feats of derring-do, but they are 13 now and more prone to stretch out where they'll be sure to get petted and loved. Luna, the kitten, is more interesting in playtime. :)
My cat, Ali Zophia (Zkhat) can fly as well. But what I love most about her is her take-off. She looks long and hard at where she wants to go, makes very sure she can get there without a crash landing, and then whoosh! she goes. Landings are carefully managed too. She is a flying genius!
Kisses,
Stella
That's pretty amazing trick and a very funny image!
Your pal,Pip
Me is the bestest. Mommy finds me in strange places (like the top of the curtain rods) but Kozmo is a clutz!!!
Kudos!
Nellie
Ah, Bogey, you do what you do so well! (But if Mom comes toward you with the clippers, don't fly--HIDE!)
My Moby is a bit old for that now but he used to get on the roof of our house quite a lot. He liked sunning himself up there.
Amazing indeed! Our The Baby was an incredible leaper as a youngster. At 12 she's a little more cautious, but still quite the acrobat...Bogey is a Circus Cat too!
Flying cats, whoever heard the like! All we have seen is extremely FAST cats when we appear, we do have one next door that can climb the garage wall to taunt us from the roof...one day my fried...one day! Dex and Lou xxx
You can tell from the picture that he sets his sights high. Really, really high!
SUPER CAT!!
Fly kitty, fly.
You're so right... my cat Buttercup had the uncanny ability to end up on top of the fridge, on top of the shower curtain, etc. But then she'd be stranded and need us to help her get down!
Too cute to stop! We had one small broken window in a row of windows on our garage door. That window frame area was empty, awaiting replacement, and all the other small windows in the row were intact. A neighbor cat walked by and jumped from the driveway right up and through the empty window. How did he know that one was empty? What even made him look up there? And how did he know what was on the other side for his landing? I wonder all those things!
