Mom Wins the War
What you see is a cat walking away from a curtain. No big deal, you may say, unless you know the long and nerve-wracking battle I've waged with Bogey.
Curtain jumping is one of his most favorite pastimes. He leaps as high as he can, uses his claws to attach, and waits for my frenzied reaction. Nothing like getting a lazy mom up and moving.
My previous frivolous attempts to stop him have included squirt bottles, noise makers, and banishment to the basement. Nothing has worked until I discovered...Contac paper.
Turned sticky side out and attached by clothespins, it makes lovely deterrant.
Since the contact paper was installed, not once has Bogey attempted to leap on the curtains. He's seething with frustration about it, but for me, success is oh-so-sweet.
And who cares if it makes all our guests wonder what's in my iced tea glass?

My mum uses tinfoil to keep me off the couch. She says I leave crusties! As if!
How unspeakably cruel, LOL!
If I know anything about cats, I predict the war is not over yet.

absolutely brilliant!
Poor Bogey!
UH oh, I wonder what new activity he is brewing up just for you...
What a great idea. There is a product called sticky paws but I think it's for putting on furniture, and not sure if it would be big enough for a curtain.

I think you might just have a future as the next "Design Star" on HGTV lol
In a word--brilliant!
Love it!
We just bought a couple Ssscat canisters. They work on a motion detector and spray non-harmful compressed air. The noise sends the kitty running (off the kitchen counters, in our case). The only problem is we keep forgetting about them and setting them off ourselves! It seems the cat can be trained by the humans cannot. LOL
I say you won the battle but will lose the war.
Expect to find a "surprise" in your shoe or bed!

Great idea for the curtain! Congrats on winning this round of the war -- I'm sure it isn't over yet.
Oh, that is so clever!!
