Critter Lovers, Set Your DVRs!
Wednesday, September 11 is a somber anniversary. Commemorating this fateful day, Animal Planet will air an hour-long special featuring the four-footed heroes of 911 on Tuesday, September 10 at 8pm Eastern (7pm Central) time. You may want to set your DVR. This hour long special promises to be a touching tribute to these amazing search and rescue dogs. Click on this link for a brief trailer about the program.
I apologize for the late notice, but just received the information. I hope everyone can join me in witnessing yet another example of why dogs truly are "man's best friend".

Dogs really are man's best friend. Thanks for the info.
I have a meeting at that time, and since we don't have the technology to record a show, I will have to miss it. It DOES sound like a tear-jerker (and I love sad shows/movies.)
9-11 my Mom died too, not at the towers but in a bed, she had had a stroke!!! A sad day for so many...
Hope you are doing good!!!
We will be thinking of all those involved both human and animal tomorrow. Have a terrific Tuesday.
Best wishes Molly
They are incredible aren't they. I don't know what we humans would do without them!

We will be watching.... AND Remembering.
I do have some stories about that time, I am not sure you would call them interesting tho. Yes some would be I guess. When I was first blogging I wrote a lot about those years. That was in 09. I think most are very sad --well sad for me anyway!! I loved going to rehearsals and loved listening to the band tho. That was the best part of it all!! I love Roy Orbison probably b/c of my back ground. He had such a beautiful voice and I loved his music... too!!
Thanks for the heads up. I will be watching...
I wish I weren't so busy yesterday! Still, it's so hard to watch stuff from that day but it would have been nice to see the dog heroes!
Very cool!
Sorry I missed it. I do remember hearing in the months following the tragedy how critical the rescue dogs were. Hope you enjoyed it.
