It's a Little Spring Thing
Ahhhh! What feels better than napping in your very own patch of sun after months of snow, sleet, ice and sub-zero temperatures?
Today I've seen people on bicycles, jogging, or just taking a walk. We've all been housebound far too long and itching to get out and enjoy a dance with a glorious day. This one certainly fits the bill. Tomorrow we may even hit 70 degrees. H'mmm. Maybe I need to take a psychological sick day from work. After all, I am totally sick of winter.
Yet I must admit I love the seasons we have in Missouri. Christmas wouldn't be the same without (a little) snow and chilly temperatures. But just as gray begins to completely permeate my world, I start to long for the green grass and yellow tulips of spring. Then when spring gives way to the warm temperatures of summer, what fun it is to wear flip flops and shorts while sitting by the water. As the last days of summer brown both people and plants until we're brittle and dry, I dream about the crisp air and brilliant red-gold colors of fall. And of course, once those leaves have drifted to the ground, reading a good book by the fire while snowflakes swirl outside sounds like heaven. And so we begin all over again.
I'm lucky. I know I wouldn't appreciate the warmth of spring nearly as much if I hadn't spent time shivering in the frosty cold first. Guess that makes me a true "four-season" person. Or someone with multiple personality disorder. You pick.
We hope you've found your patch of sun today. Enjoy it!

Pat--I agree. I LOVE snow (when it results in snow days) but I am ready for spring.
I love four seasons. We used to have four in Michigan, but now we apparently only have winter! ugh! it won't be 70 here any time soon.
It was 86 degrees here today, nutty

We so hope you have a break in the weather now and you start to see the first signs of Spring. Here we have very mild weather and sun at last. Have a marvellous Monday.
Best wishes Molly
I am a three season person. I can do without winter's gray, white and long nights, but oh, glorious spring. Today will be a delight for everyone. Enjoy.
Strangely, we have not had one flake of snow this Winter which is unusual for the North.

Your dog looks so happy. The sun really makes a difference.
That looks like the pawfect sunpuddle to lay in.
We had a gorgeous day here in Atlanta in the upper 70s, but it was just a tease, because tomorrow we're down in the 60s again and then Thursday drops to 50. *sigh* The Farmer's Almanac says we have another big snow coming yet. I hope not!
enjoy your sunshine!
Stop on by for a visit

Living in LA, one would think our seasons are all the same. But they aren't. While our temps are pleasant during the day, we can have nights in the 30s and 40s. We get snow up n our mountain. If we're lucky enough to get rain, the wild mustard turns our hills bright chartreuse. But by June, we're all brown and come September, we're sick of the heat and longing for the shift to cool ocean breezes. Our leaves start to change in July but don't really yield full on color...until Christmas week! Shortly after wind or rain will send them flying and we start all over again. I love all the seasons too...just at a pleasant 70 - 80 degrees!
Love the photo! My dog did the same thing, found a warm sunny spot by the door and took a nap!
I'm a four season gal, too, Pat! I love them all for the same reasons you do.
You said it (beautifully!) about the seasons. And I do just what the pets do and head outside when it warms up.
Nothing better than the four seasons, although I think winter has over-stayed its welcome in Missouri.
Hurry, Spring!
We haven't had snow yet here in England. Plenty of rain though. Had some nice sunny days lately.
Thank you. Love love, Andrew. Bye.
Although living in California was nice with the year round warm weather, I do like seasons, but Texas has trouble picking one. It was 30 yesterday morning and 70 by lunch time.

I love the four seasons too! I saw someone in a tank and shorts the other day and I was thinking it was a little too soon for that attire, but hey, I think it reached 80. My cats love those sun spots for napping.
