Real Cool
We've had a pretty mild summer so far, but this week it's back to reality. Upper 90's, air thick with humidity, and searing sunshine are making me feel as though I'm living in an oven. A typical summer in St. Louis is upon us. Because it's too darn hot to go outside, get any chores done, or even to do much thinking, I've conjured up a few images to help all of us feel better. Put up your feet and imagine cool breezes...

Oh, Pat. The last one--complete with falling snow--really helped me chill out.
I wish you had posted earlier. I was at Tower Grove park for the international festival today, and my granddaughter and I roasted. (The constant stream of sweat added to the joy.)
Then, I really needed some snow to think about. Later tonight, when I feel a bit sticky, I'll go back to your post and bring my temperature down...

Love the one with the pooch in front of the fan. We've been hot as blazes here in Atlanta, too, though the early mornings are cool and lovely. By 2 pm, though, it's miserable out there. And now I just may need to finish off that mint chocolate chip ice cream sitting in the freezer!
No...high 80s and muggy here at 8:20 pm...ready for fall!
Love the pool, although even a swimming pool in Texas is like hot bathwater this time of year.
