Le Pup Misérable

It's hard to imagine a sight more pitiful than a dog getting a bath. I suspect Winston's face was unhappier than a teenager's on the last day of summer vacation.

That's a lot of misery for one little dog.

But not to worry. After the dreaded bath, he was bundled in a towel and whisked to a warm room for purposes of drying and fluffing. (Note: The fluffing reminded me he needs to be scheduled for his first haircut-sure to be another traumatic experience)

When finished, Winston reverted to being a happy boy.

Happiness lasted until the following day when he went to the vet for his final round of immunizations. Crying, and screaming, and pouting, oh my! Winston is not a patient patient. And sadly, his vet visits aren't over yet.

In two weeks he goes back to be "tutored".

I'm afraid the vet will really be on Winston's "poop" list after that adventure.

Reminds me so much of my angel Loki having a bath.

The joys of a small puppy. I had to bathe my dog in the bathtub or the outside kiddie pool.

Poor Winston, how much torture can a dog take!
If it's any consolation Elliot is exactly the same. When I take him out he stands there shaking and looks up with his worried little face as though I beat him all the time. Goodness knows what people are thinking, LOL.

What a little sweetie-pie Winston is, Pat. I know the bath was traumatic for him, but it sure provided some awfully cute pics! So sorry I've been away from your blog for so long. Christmas about did me in this year, followed by a death in my family. My hubby and I figured up that we've been out of town in January more than we've been home. Hoping I'm finally getting back on a more normal schedule (though I wonder sometimes what normal really is!). Thanks so much for this sweet post -- gave me a smile today. :)

Oh my goodness, what a face. He certainly lets you know how he feels. Hope the tutoring goes well.

Winston is a cutie, even when he's soaking wet and unhappy.

(Tutored? Does that mean "fixed"?)

Winston could get away with anything if he lived here. He is so cute!
